Traditional Metal Braces

A dependable choice for beautifully aligned smiles that stand the test of time.

A classic approach to comprehensive smile correction, metal braces are one of the most effective and widely used types of braces. Their durability makes them suitable for even the most complex cases. Modern metal braces are smaller and more comfortable than ever, with options for colorful elastics to add a little pizzazz to your look. They are also typically more affordable than other orthodontic options, making them a reliable and cost-effective choice for achieving a straight, healthy smile.

FAQs About Braces

Don’t see what you need here? Give us a call. We’d be happy to answer any question you have.
Treatment time varies for each person, depending on the complexity of the case. On average, most patients wear braces for 18–24 months. We will provide a timeline at your consultation.
You may feel some soreness or pressure after braces are placed or adjusted, but this usually lasts only a few days. Over-the-counter pain relief and a soft diet can help during this adjustment period.
Sticky, chewy, or hard foods (like gum, caramel, popcorn, or hard candies) should be avoided because they can damage braces or get stuck. Softer foods are easier on your brackets and wires, especially right after adjustments.
Brushing after every meal, flossing daily, and using special tools like interdental brushes or a water flosser will help keep your teeth and braces clean. Regular dental check-ups and orthodontic visits are also essential to stay on track.
