No worries! If a bracket comes loose, contact us as soon as possible. In the meantime, try not to touch it—just cover it with wax to keep it from irritating your mouth.

If a wire breaks or gets out of place, carefully move it back with a cotton swab or pencil eraser. If it’s painful or the wire is poking you, call us for a quick fix.

Yes, some discomfort is normal, especially after your braces are first put on or adjusted. Over-the-counter pain relievers and a soft diet can help ease the discomfort.

Aligner: Move forward to the next aligner, or back to the previous one if the next is not available, and be sure to call the office.

Retainer: If you don’t have a backup retainer, call the office and we will schedule you to make a new one.
